Nick DiPasquale, director of the EPA’s Chesapeake Bay Program, spoke to a room full of Watershed Stewards and enthusiastic citizens on January 30, 2014 at the University of Maryland Extension. He explained what the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) of Bay pollutants is. He described how the TMDL came about and how residents can help to reach the goal for their county. Of particular interest was Director DiPasquale’s wholesome attitude towards the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the implications of environmental cleanup for everyone’s future.
