Gregorio Sandi is the Chesapeake Restoration Section Head at the Water and Sciences Administration of Maryland Department of the Environment. Gregorio will present information on a new program being developed to deal with the over-application of salt for winter storm events.

We will look at the use of salt in Maryland, how and why it is used, and its effects on public health, infrastructure, and biological health. We will also learn about solutions both the state and individuals are using to cut down on salt.
